Joining the Marines. You can say it was bred into his genes, but he loves the military. It is his first wife and Anna is to be his second. He is a Marine, through and through.

Every single deployment.

TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF!

Edward is a tall (6'6"), well muscled, and silent Marine. He was raised in that environment and embraces it whole-heartedly. He is very good-natured and slow to anger, but once he is angry, it is a cold, harsh anger rather than a hot one. He is more prone to drop his voice than yell, and his blue eyes turn to ice, making glaciers seem warm. He takes things in stride and will jokingly insult the other armed forces, as is always in a camaraderie sort of way.

He is an excellent teacher and leader, and is always willing to help those that need his assistance and is very fond of hanging with his Marine buddies, when they are all together on base, that is. He recently moved up to Alaska to pursue a teaching career, being in a different sector of the Marines. He tends to take no nonsense when it comes to trivial things and is quick to stop a fight, dropping both fighters before damage gets done, male or female does not matter to him.

He is completely straight but by no means homophobic. He has a flamboyantly gay teammate that constantly hits on him, but it goes no where because he is engaged and not at all interested in men, in anyway, so he will politely turn everyone down unless you get annoying. Then you are more likely to get knocked unconscious. His major flaw is if you do get into a physical altercation with him, you will not walk away under your own power.

Otherwise, he tends to be more of a gentle giant, with a dark side that always lurks in his gaze. It is not hard to get him to crack a smile, but if the smile is genuine or polite, that remains to be seen. He sticks to his manners that were drilled into him at an early age and they always show up at times where he is in a new situation.

Edward was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he spent some of his life, growing up. As a child, he moved all around the country with his parents, growing up in the style of a Marine. His father was very strict about rules and regulations, and everything in his house was spotless and perfect, nothing was dusty unless it was in the attic. Every adult older than you was to be addressed as “sir” or “ma’am”, a habit that Edward still follows to this day, if he feels that the respect is deserved.

Edward was a stellar student, earning a 4.0 throughout all of his schooling; his father tolerated no less on final grades. A 3.5 was acceptable during mid-semester reports, but all final reports must be a 4.0. His family was not openly affectionate, and as a result, neither is Edward. He loves what he does and while he may not agree with what you say, he will defend to the death your right to say it.

He was a former teacher for several years at a University in Florida, until he was deployed the last time, and he left for a few months and then came back, deciding that he did not want to teach University anymore. He has been deployed overseas a total of nine times and does not at all like to talk about it, but he has seen the darkest side of humanity in those deployments. That is what comes with working in a special ops unit.

While at the University in Florida, he met his finacee, Anna. He loves her to death and will give her anything she wants and constantly worries about her. Only around her is he actually passionate and showing his caring side. They still haven’t quite set a date for the wedding, it really depends on when he’s going to be deployed again, if he will be deployed. There are some higher ups fighting not to send him and his squad back again.

Edward’s squad is rather unique. They all have call-signs that begin with the letter “R” and are as follows:

They have been together since they entered the Marines, all of them at the age of eighteen, and have never once been separated. They were recognized by the higher-ups as to how well they worked together, even as complete strangers, before they were pulled aside and set up with special training. Each of them has their own ability that they are good at. Edward is their bomb expert, Noah is their close quarters combat expert, Alex is their weapons expert, Paul is their sniper, and Matthew is their technology expert. They work very well together and have not once lost a single mission.

The team is scattered across the country at the moment, but they are only a phone call away from duty, each being able to grab a flight at the last minute. Edward is a unique one, he’s the good-natured one who just smiles and is easy going most of the time, until he’s finally angry, then it turns cold. Very few people have seen him angry and Anna and Rowan have seen indirect versions of it, never has he directed his anger towards those he cares about. So far, Anna is the only one who has ever gotten him to yell outside of battle.

Edward very much enjoys what he does, and is often said that he’s married to the Marines, and cheating on it with Anna, which is the running joke throughout all the forces. He’ll just laugh it off and leave it alone, picking on his teammates in return, as they sit around in the bar. Of course, since he’s usually the tallest, at 6’6”, he gets picked on about his height too. They are just a bunch of males, what else can be expected?

The blond-haired, blue eyed Marine has come to Alaska to pursue a different career, perhaps, and was hired on to teach Chemistry and provide a head to the security detail. He rarely has to use his taser and is not afraid to pull a gun or shoot it, barely missing who he is aiming at, as a warning shot. The best idea is when he confronts you to stop, is indeed to stop, he’s a Marine and currently active.
