jogging, sports (mostly football, hockey, and basketball), being active, reading about technology, messing with technology, girls, microchips, keyboards, touch screens, old black and white movies, brand new movies that employ new techniques in making them and using new effects, reading about these effects and how to use them, girls, phones, old scary movies that you can always see the monster’s zipper in(he mostly likes laughing at these), candle light, bonfires, fireplaces, dogs, girls, pizza, playing guitar.

summer, being too warm, rap, opera, swimming in lakes or oceans, lobster, crab, or generally any seafood(minus tuna, which is amazing of course), waiting, unfixable technology, excessive PDA, schools, authority, cats, hampsters, basically any pet that is not a dog, smart asses(although he enjoys smarting back), people that ramble on and on aimlessly, his father, his father’s side of the family, technologically challenged people(he just doesn’t have the patience to deal with them), mushrooms, sausage on his pizza.

becoming a nobody. working at a dead end job and living with his parents for the rest of his life. not being accepted.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS IN LIFE?
become a hacker for the inside, for the FBI and the CIA and other secretive organizations working for the government. unfortunately, they seem to find him a threat, not a help at this point in the game.
WHAT ARE YOUR FLAWS?
he tends to obsess over little things for a long time. he beats himself up if he feels like he said something dumb to the wrong person (for example, a pretty girl). he is definitely OCD. he likes things on a table to be sitting geometrically, he taps his fingers but if they don’t tap evenly it really bugs him(example if his middle finger taps the surface twice as much as the other fingers, he has to tap the others that many times to make it even), he doesn’t like things in groups of seven, or numbers with seven in them(17, 27, 37… 70, 71… hates 77).
WHAT ARE YOUR TURN ONS?
its always good if she is good looking, after all that is what catches his attention in the first place. after that he’ll decide to get to know her or not. she should be sweet, but fun. she should tease back when he teases, he doesn’t want to hurt her by saying something for the fun of it so she needs to have a good sense of humor. most importantly she needs to be honest. that's all he really wants in a serious relationship. for a hookup, she just has to be good looking, interested, and willing.

someone who is self-obsessed. this includes being vain, conceited, or selfish. too much makeup(if she’s wearing so much then she must look real ugly underneath it all). unnaturally died hair. someone who is really unpleasant to look at. someone who is into dominatrix kind of things, and wants to be ‘naughty’ in a sickening way. a girl that wants to run the show. he's the guy. he wants to wear the pants.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST MEMORY?
Shane got his first video game when he was six. it was one of those old blocky imitations of board games like sorry, or trouble, or monopoly. it wasn’t exactly playing it that was the best part about it. it was taking it apart and figuring out how to make it work. more importantly, he liked figuring out how to make it work the way that he wanted it to. once he rigged it, it became one of his favorite things to do. hence why he’s in here for being a hacker.
WHAT IS YOUR WORST MEMORY?
his father strongly disapproves of him regardless of how hard he works. when he was 15, he built a program to organize his father’s tax files and make sense of them. however, once he showed his father, his father was only angered. he was not pleased at all that Shane had done all of that work, refused to use the software, and ordered Shane to dispose of the material. he called Shane a wuss, told him to delete his files on the computer and go try out for baseball. the only thing in the world that would make Shane’s father happy would be for Shane to be a major league baseball player. even then, Shane doubts that he would make his father proud. his father made a habit out of lashing out physically as well as verbally at him and his mother, and this was one of those days. Shane’s mother also caught the broadside of the whip that day, even though his father was not angry at her in the least. this angered Shane to the point that he punched him in the face, broke his nose, and knocked him out cold. neither him nor his mother bothered taking him to the hospital. they packed their things and moved in with his aunt that day. his mother’s sister of course.

Honestly there isn't much to say that hasn't already been said or that wont be said. If you haven't already guessed, I like girls. No, I don't have a girlfriend at the moment. I'm hoping being stuck here at Ridgestone Detention Facility will find me with a possible girlfriend. Or maybe just a stolen kiss or two. Either way, I plan on having fun here regardless. I’m here for the stupidest reason anyway. I want to work for the FBI, right? So I got started on my education in hacking a little bit early. So what? Apparently I pissed someone off. Guess who? The FBI. Cool, huh? Not really. So any chance at any sort of career is now out the window. In short, I’m screwed. Whatever, I’ll figure something out. In the meantime, guess I might as well live it up a little. Sure, maybe I’m not taking this as seriously as everybody would like me to. But the reality is that this whole damned thing is so incredibly stupid, how could I truly even really care about it? I’ll get out of here, get my records expunged for whatever it is I apparently did wrong, and then maybe I can get the job I want- because if I can get into their records without getting noticed(almost), then wouldn’t they prefer to have me on their team? So..back to the small talk? I like dogs. Forget anything else furry and cute, they’re not really for me. I have a dog at home, and I miss her sorely. She’s my girl, Mom got her for me two years ago. A big, fluffy German Shepard, named Nita. She’s very well trained, so again I don’t see why I can’t bring her here…I suppose that’s because you people’d like me to be as miserable as possible here for all of my wrongdoing. Okay, deal. This should be a riot.

Lyra Jennifer O’Malley. She is 40 years old, and she is a waitress and a cashier. She is a cashier at a candy store in the town where they reside, and she waitresses at a fancy restaurant. Lyra never did particularily well in high school, and barely graduated. She had no money or support from her father, therefore college was out of the question. She met and fell in love with Shane’s father young, married into an abusive relationship, and has only recently found herself freed of that relationship due to Shane.

Shane had a troubled past. He didn’t know things were as bad as they were until his teenage years. Of course, children don’t comprehend that way. They see and love their parents no matter what. Well, until they are old enough to understand that things can be very very wrong. Like the relationship between his father and the rest of the family. His father always started any argument at a family get together, and it was generally him that left and took the car with him, leaving Shane and Lyra wherever they happened to be, and if they were home, usually not returning for some indefinite time. Once Shane started calling out his father in regards to his anger issues and his not being a good father, Mark became more and more secluded and violent. Shane and his mother suspected alcohol, but as opposed to leaving, Lyra thought she could help Mark. Shane helped as much as he could, but trying to be the head of a broken family while also figuring out who he was growing to be were difficult things to try to mesh. He started leaving a lot, he’d chosen to become a three sport athlete so that he didn’t have to come home directly after school and often had games to play in. He started learning guitar, spending time in the music suite in his school with some of his buddies. When he did come home one night, he found his mother bruised, he knew they couldn’t stay much longer. They moved in with his Aunt Mallory, who has been nothing but supportive of them and the rest is history.
