Sterling had long ago stopped wondering how long he'd been in the place. Countless days sitting around doing absolutely nothing. Most mornings were spent on runs and the day time was filled with classes. The rest of the day was pointless wandering and night was a time for the dorm rooms. There was curfew after all. Not like Sterling ever really listened to it. It was nearly shocking how long it had been since Sterling was in Isolation. Nothing he did was bad enough to get him thrown into that lonely plain room. Then again, a lot of the 'bad' things Sterling did was behind doors. Dorm doors where no cameras were. He wouldn't have to worry about security when he had a dorm room to lounge around in.
But there was hardly anything illegal going on today with Sterling. He sat on the floor, back pressed against the edge of his bed. The television on the desk in front of him was turned on but there were no soap operas or news playing on it. The Xbox 360 that sat beneath the table that the television sat on was also turned on. When you're stuck in a criminal detention facility, what more was there to do than play video games? The window on the screen showed that Sterling was just leveling up. All of the skill points he had were quickly used to raise the Speech skill. In real life, Sterling used his fists to solve his problem due to his anger issue. In Fallout: New Vegas, he took the chance to talk his way out of everything. But if talking didn't work, he'd still have a lot of fun taking a sledge hammer to their face.
Sterling was on his way again through the game with his dearest companion, Boone, right at his side. With how long he'd been here, he'd already beaten this game countless times along with all the other games he had stored in the desk. Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Ace Combat, Borderlands. It was obvious by the group of games that he loved the war. Not everything he owned was a war game but most of them were. As a future soldier, Sterling took complete advantage of tactical war games in hopes that even the smallest tasks he did in those games would prepare him for what was about to come.
There was a rather loud yawn from the young man as he stretched his arms far over his head, allowing the man on the screen to just jabber away. Sterling laid his head back against the edge of the bed, turning his gaze to stare out the window. It was getting dark. But this was Alaska. When wasn't it dark? He sighed softly and rubbed his forehead with the back of his hand and glanced back toward the game. The man on the screen still wasn't done talking. These people should learn to shut up. At least it was only a game. If you killed someone for annoying you, you could just reload from the last save point. Sterling still hadn't found a save point in real life.

Aedus noticed it was just getting close to curfew. He put down the book he was reading and made his way to the dorms. He had been there for two weeks and it was certainly better than the jail he spent two years in. He straightened the black shirt he was wearing and starting jogging. He wanted to watch fire again or hit something. He knew both would get him in trouble. That’s why they should have punching bags, he thought shaking his head.
Blue eyes took everything, the darkening hall despite the lights and the many rooms. He knew his and had yet to interact with his dorm mate. From what he heard whispering in the hallways, he was in for arson. Another pyro eh?
Hey Boss! Aedus jumped at the voice in his head and stopped suddenly. “What the hell…?”
Been a long time. Soo, I take it you caught for rape? Now he really wanted to hit something. His spilt personality was in his head. He was actually interacting with him. When he was sixteen, he had raped a poor girl and hadn’t remembered any of it. It seemed that he was back.
“Not he. Hichigo.” Aedus had given him that name because he liked the show Bleach. It seemed the main character was going through the same thing. Shaking his head, he continued on his way to his dorm.
He paused at the door, his hand on the handle. He didn’t know what kind of guy he was, but Aedus hoped he wouldn’t give him too much trouble. He opened the door to look at a guy around his age playing an Xbox 360. Aedus could hear battle sounds coming from the speakers and two beds. He had already set up his stuff two weeks earlier, but his walls were bare. He had wanted to get a poster for at least above his bed.
Stepping carefully, Aedus perched himself on the edge of his bed and laid back. “Sterling right?” he asked. He closed his eyes and could hear a warning over the intercom about curfew. He had once gotten Isolation for being fifteen minutes late to his dorm; he was never going to do that again. He sighed and opened his eyes.
Aedus sat up, propping himself on his elbows. You should hit him. His whole body went rigid. “Damnit! Get out of my head!”
You know, Hichigo said giggling, you sound like a mad-man talking to yourself. Aedus growled and punched the wall behind him gently. It wasn’t much of an outlet for him. His eyes went back to his dorm-mate. He must think I’m crazy now. That’s great, just great, cause that’s exactly what he wanted his first impression to be.

Sterling had already forgotten that he was getting a roommate. Even with the stuff already set up in the room, it had just slipped his mind. No one had told him this guy's name or what he was here for or just anything about him. Maybe because Sterling didn't ask. Maybe because he didn't really care. If they could stay on their half of the room, Sterling wouldn't have a problem. Of course, there were a few problems but he would find ways around them. They were things that couldn't be fixed and he would have to consider talking to this kid about. Sterling had been in this dorm for months now. Therefore he made the rules. He was willing to discuss some with the other if he didn't like them and maybe change them around a bit, but there were some he would be pretty adamant about.
The boy didn't even pause his game when the other came into the room. Sterling heard him come in and new he was there, but he was a bit lost in his game. If he even looked away for a minute, someone could get a head shot on him and then he'd be screwed. But that didn't mean he didn't have time to answer the question. "That's right. Sterling Blue. You're the new roommate, right...?" Sterling asked, his eyes glued to that screen still as he mashed on the trigger button until the scorpion on the screen fell dead. He quickly looted it to steal its tail, the paused his game to glance over to the other.
Sterling was instantly a bit confused though at the next words. He stared at the other and frowned a bit, giving a slow shake of his head. "What, are you telepathic or something? My thoughts being stuck in your head?" he started to ask, putting the controller down between his legs. He leaned back against the bed and smirked a little, watching the other with a raised eyebrow. "'Cause we're gonna be having a big problem if you're hearing me thoughts. You wouldn't like what you hear."

Aedus heard him confim who he was and looked at the boy. He was staring at him; the last two statements were rolling around in his head. “You never know. I probably can read your thoughts.” He wasn’t about to tell this kid he had known for about ten minutes the biggest secret of all.
He turned his blue eyes turned the screen, it was a war game. “Do you have Black Ops?” he asked. When he had had a home, he sometimes snuck down to play on the system. It was Black Ops he had gotten addicted too. Aedus was aware that Sterling had been here longer, but if there any sort of rules; he would at least have to compromise. He was sure that they could be bent and changed according to what both boys wanted.
He stood and stretched, brushing the brown hair out of his eyes. It seemed he may have gotten someone with at least some kind of humor. A sudden grin plastered itself to his face. You should hit him. Aedus did his best to ignore the voice inside his head. “Or you know, maybe I wasn’t talking to you. You know, the voices in my head, they don’t like you,” he said with a slight smirk as well.
He did his best of controlling his anger because the more words Hichigo said, the more he wanted to hit someone or something. He clenched and unclenched his fists as he stood there. Aedus was aware of how awkward it was for him to be standing, so he sat down. “So, why you stuck in this hell hole?”

There was a roll of his eyes as he pulled himself up off the floor and instead just sat on the edge of the bed, curious now and rather amused. "It's your huge loss if you can. I hope you won't mind hearing thoughts about how hot half the kids in this school are naked," Sterling explained to him with a soft laugh, laying himself back on the bed. He wasn't about to add that most of his thoughts about naked kids in the school were male kids, not the females. Sterling had been so straight up until he came to this school. There were girls everywhere in his mind until one little boy in this school changed his mind. He was still nervous and even a bit ashamed of his newly found bisexuality and he wasn't about to tell a roommate about it.
At the question, Sterling hesitated and glanced over to his stacked up pile of Xbox 360 games, scanning through it with just his eyes. "Black Ops. Modern Warfare one and two. Call of Duty two and three," he trailed off and gave a quick shrug of his shoulders, quickly looking back at the other. "I think I've got more than just the Black Ops version of Call of Duty. I'm guessing you play then?" Would Sterling be up to sharing his video games with a roommate? If it was multiplayer, he definitely could.
The boy slipped his arm over his face to cover his eyes, planning to just listen to the boy speak rather than look at him. Not that he was hard to look at or anything but Sterling's eyes just hurt from staring at the television screen for so long. "Is that right...? You can tell the voices in your head to fuck off until they've gotten to know me," Sterling told him, smiling visibly due to his arms only covering the upper half of his face. But the smile fell quick and he sighed at the last question. "I lit an elementary school on fire. A bunch of little first graders died in the fire and people got really pissed. Caught me and threw me in here. Nothing to be proud of."

Aedus’s smirk got bigger until he was full out grinning. “Oh? And what students would these be?” he asked looking at the boy. He was waiting to hear the names of girls, but you could never be too careful. Maybe he had been roomed with a bisexual, but he couldn’t see how that terrible. He had gone down that path before and didn’t like it. It made him feel like he was someone’s bitch…maybe that’s because he was.
Aedus watched him hesitate and realized that maybe the games were something special to him. He held up his hands when he started naming them off of what he got. “It’s fine if you don’t want to share and yeah…I play a little. I am content with my writing if it comes to that,” he said brushing his bangs, once again, out of his eyes. It was driving him insane and would have to remember to find someone to cut off the extra two inches that they had grown.
He watched his room mate sit back and throw his arm over half of his face so only his mouth and chin were visible. Tell him to fuck off back. I don’t like being cussed out. You should do something about. Hit him.
“The voice says fuck off back,” he said absently picking at a loose thread in his jeans. “Wouldn’t that be counted as murder too?” he asked looking up. The smile was no longer there and it seemed to get tenser in the room. No matter how indifferent someone seemed towards their sentence, they always were bothered by it. “I raped a girl, well I think I did. I also burnt down three houses, a church and a store. I suppose those are the two main reasons why I ended up here.” Aedus quickly looked away and found something interesting to look at on the wall. “So, are there rules in the dorm or…?”
