I’m a depressing person. I can’t help it. I hate the sight of blood, but write about it in my poetry. I hate it when a close family member dies, but I’ll write it like I enjoyed see their pale body lay in that brown coffin. I do have a happy side…sometimes. I hate bringing it out because it reminds me of when my mom was alive. When I was allowed to be happy, now I just feel like it’s not even my right. I’m somewhat naive from what I’ve been told. I welcome the darkness of depression my brother had found in me. I hate the color pink and always dress in black. It doesn’t seem to matter what I wear, people label me as an emo kid. Which I’m really not honestly. I have a temper on me and tend to take it out on people who didn’t do anything wrong. I don’t have a filter and say whatever is on my mind, no matter how blunt or rude I think I’m being. I am nice to those who are my friends, which is few.

I’ve never had a great love life. I was always lied to and cheated on. I suppose that’s why I turned towards prostitution, I got so used to men using me, and it didn’t bother me when I was forced to have sex. But you can’t really force the willing can you?
When I had just turned fifteen, I had my first boyfriend. He was two years older than me and he seemed to be in love with me. After the first three months, I couldn’t believe him, he had cheated on me. So you see, my love life has gone down the drain and after the year of prostitution, I never really started trusting boys or men. I shake every time someone lays a hand on me, even if it’s to be reassuring. Frankly…I don’t like being touched.

Are you my friend? Friends to me are…people who are caring and like you for you. Not for what you did or what you have in the bank. I am overly protective of my friends. I like to hang out with them and sometimes I need a break, but who doesn’t? Anyway, I don’t like seeing other people getting hurt and sometimes, I think, if I can protect them, they’ll become my friend. I have made some friends easier with the younger ones because they don’t understand why I am the way I am and that’s how it stays.

Honestly? My family is insane. My mother died when I was ten of Cancer, my father left me to foster care until my brother tracked me down five years later. I realize I must’ve disappointed him when I got arrested and caught of offering my body to a police officer. I was put in the county jail for a while until he came to visit me. I saw the look in his eyes and I want to retract all of my mistakes. I don’t know what got into me. Even though I do, that’s what I told him. My brother is my only family left and I don’t want to lose him. I lost my mother and I lost my father, I feel as if it’s my fault. My family is torn.
