Jack's best memory is that of when he moved to the United States to go to join a high-class acting school in Chicago. It was a big step for him and his family. He left all of his friends and everything else he loved behind to pursue his passion of acting. Unfortunately, fate would keep him from achieving that dream easily.
WHAT IS YOUR WORST MEMORY?
Jack's worst memory is of the night he was arrested. After enjoying himself at a party with some new friends he had met from school. When he arrived home that evening, the worst thing imaginable happened. Jacks's home exploded into a ball of fire, but he blacked out and has no memory of what occurred. When he came to, he was in the criminal ward of the local hospital, and was quickly informed that his parents and brother had died in the explosion, and that he was found with accelerant and other flammables on his person, making him the prime suspect. He was devastated and confused, but kept strong for one thing: his little sister, who had survived by going to a sleep over.

Friendly- Due to his upbringing (and, as some would say, his natural British charm), Jack will probably be one of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. He is polite and respectful, and always enjoys making new friends. He rarely ever judges by appearances alone, instead focusing on the person’s actions and personality when he meets someone. He’s easy to get along with, and his cheerful demeanor always seems to help ease the tension in a room.

Protector- Jack has a high sense of honor and respect for the people and things he cares about. Being a black belt in martial arts, he does not tolerate anyone picking on the weak or defenseless. He is vocal about what he believes is right, and will defend his views as much as he is able. He very much like the Buddhist monks: a powerful and intelligent guardian who uses his strengths to aid and defend, and never to destroy or attack.

Kindhearted- To put it simply, Jack has a heart of gold. He is an incredibly good-natured person who only wants to see his friends happy. He does all that he can to be a positive influence and help those he cares about. He is helpful, caring, and genuinely dislikes creating conflict, and will do his best to resolve any problems that might come his way.

Intelligent- Jack is a top-notch student. He is incredibly smart and creative, and his intellect allows him to see things from many different points of view, allowing him to get along with a variety of people and resolve tense situations quickly. He is quick-witted and good humored, and always enjoys a good, intelligent conversation every now and again.

Patient- It takes an awful lot to make Jack lose his temper. He is very slow to anger, making him the perfect person to help settle arguments and break up fights. His sense of humor makes him hard to irritate, and normally he can brush off and joke, insult, or nasty comment with ease and with no loss of enthusiasm.

Jack’s life began in jolly old’ England, where he lived with his mother, father, and younger brother for most of his life. Growing up, Jackson was pretty much like any other kid. He loved to play with others, enjoyed the outdoors, and went to school with the other kids; however there was one thing that set him apart from other kids his age: he was plagued almost nightly with horrible nightmares. He could never remember the entire dream, but they always involved fire and flames and he would wake up kicking and punching. The dreams became so vivid, young Jack developed pyrophobia. Confused, his parents took him to see a psychologist, who diagnosed him with a sleep behavior disorder. He warned that if left untreated, it could worsen into even more problematic mental issues. He encouraged the young boy to take up a hobby. Jack quickly became interested in acting, and began to work at it with all his might, and for a while. The nightmares dropped significantly in their frequency, and all seemed well.

Several years passed, and much of Jack’s life made a turn for a better. He became a mainstay at a local theater, his parents had a daughter, and life seemed to be going rather smoothly. One day, Jack received a letter in the mail, inviting him to attend a theater academy in Chicago. Excited and determined, Jack begged his family to let him go. After much deliberation and pulling a lot his strings, his parents agreed and the Abbot family moved to the United States. Jack settled into his new environment well, and he quickly made new friends. His passion for acting blossomed, and soon he was well on his way to landing a job in local television show.
Then, for reasons no doctor could explain, his nightmares came back. Jack was frightened and didn’t know what to do. His family consulted another psychiatrist, who feared that his sleep disorder could have been developing into a serious mental condition. Convinced that their son was not “crazy”, his parents insisted that he use regular sleep medication instead. Although he was able to stay asleep with them, he still experienced the dreams, and after a while began to have strange daydreams and hallucinations during the daylight hours. Brushing it off as nervousness from the possible acting job, Jack bore through the nightmares.

A few months later, Jack was invited to a party with some of his friends. He quickly accepted, and after a nap, a quick shower, and dropping his little sister off at a sleep over, he was off to enjoy the evening with his pals. After having a blast with his friends, he drove home, tired from the fun he had enjoyed earlier. Stepping out of his car, he began his trek up to the porch when...that was it. He couldn’t remember anything after that. There was nothing but blackness.

The next thing Jack remembered was waking up in the criminal ward of the hospital covered cuts, bruises, and small burns. He was told that his house had been rigged to blow and that everyone inside had perished. However, when they found him unconscious on the front lawn, the police found him covered with gasoline, along with more accelerant and flammable materials in the trunk of his car. Jack was charged with arson and manslaughter, and after a few weeks of recovery, prepared to stand trial.

Before the trial, Jackson was given a full psychiatric evaluation by the police. It was determined that his horrible nightmares had caused him to develop a split personality, which dubbed itself Zander and that Jack’s normal consciousness was completely unaware of. Because of his poor mental health, the District Attorney dropped the manslaughter charge in exchange for Jack’s guilty plea. Jackson pled guilty to arson by reason of insanity. Jack was sentenced to 4 years at the Ridgestone Detention Facility in Alaska, along with normal medication and therapy. Zander has not shown himself again since that accident. However, with all of the newfound stress around him, Jack still has horrid dreams of the fire, meaning it may only be a matter of time until his wicked alter ego breaks free once again.
