WHAT IS YOUR BEST MEMORY?
When Titania was four years old, her parents took her to their local theatre (a very small run-down place) to see her very first opera. (She was an avid listener to the genre at an extremely young age, having been singing longer than she was even speaking.) When they arrived, there had been a mix-up between her and her parents' seats, so they were given free tickets for front-row seats for both 'La Traviata' (the piece they had gone to see in the first place), and the rest of the season's shows, including: 'The Magic Flute', 'Carmen', 'Lakme', 'Macbeth' (A favorite of Titania's), and 'Gianni Schicchi'. To make the situation even better, Titania was able to meet the cast after every show, and often spoke with them on vocal technique and theatre etiquette (some of which she had found deplorable when it came down to the audience). After seeing that first opera, her father bought her a brand new dress, pair of shoes, and even a tiara, explaining that, from now on, she would have only the finest clothing to wear to the opera. After that, she would receive a new ensemble for every new show that they went to see.
