Blake stood in the gardens, looking around at the flowers and smiling as she made her way down the paths, humming to herself before taking a seat on one of the benches, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air as she closed her eyes and relaxed, listening to the bird calls. It always made her happier to be outside in the gardens, not that she was ever really unhappy or let things bother her, but the gardens were filled with wonderful scents and colors and she rather did enjoy it.
A ways down the path, she could see a few birds nestled in the trees, tending to their nests. The sight made her smile a bit more before she got up and began walking again, occasionally stopping to coo over the flowers and how beautiful they were. Her walks always ended with her collecting a bouquet and arranging them inside and setting them on a table in the sun, allowing the sweet fragrance to fill the room before they were dried and used for decorations elsewhere. Continuing her walk along the path, she found a few pretty blue flowers before placing them in her hair, in a sort of silly gesture and laughing a bit, singing a few songs aloud as she began collecting her flowers for the week.

All the knight held in his hand was one single Calla Lily. While walking through the gardens, he had taken notice to the queen, but he hadn't directly gone to see and socialize with her at that moment. Matthew had hurried off to search the garden for the flower he believed this moment called for. And that was when he found the beautiful white lily. Every flower had its meaning. Violets were for affection, pansies are thoughts, and white roses were for love and respect, as most would know.
Matthew stepped over beside the woman to keep in step with her, a soft smile on his lips. He had held the flower behind his back, but held it out to the woman as he gave a curious tilt of his head. "Do you know what this means, my Queen?" he questioned, the smile not once leaving his face. But he stopped in his tracks and gave a polite bow to the other. "The Calla Lily symbolizes your magnificent beauty. For that reason, I believe you deserve to have it."

The young woman looked up briefly at the knight, smiling and nodding at him, returning the greeting in a calm manner. Blue eyes blinked down to the flower as she graciously accepted it, inhaling the delicate scent as she listened to his words and nodded, smiling a bit.
"Thank you, Matthew. Your kindness is wonderful," she replied, voice soft as she sent him a brilliant smile that showed she was not at all bothered to have someone to talk to. "Have you been faring well?" she asked gently as she spoke, looking up at him demurely as her fingers toyed with the bouquet she carried.

Matthew smiled softly and was once again bowing to his queen. "Oh, no need to thank me, m'lady. I try," he added in with a soft laugh, standing up straight again to calmly cross his arms over his chest. His fingers went through his hair and, rather than keeping his eyes on the woman, his gaze started to curiously wander the gardens.
"As well as any other who has recently stumbled into their queen's presence," he assured her. He glanced over to her curiously and raised an eyebrow. "Which makes me very well, I can promise you. I can only hope you are doing just as well as I." With a deep sigh, the knight was stretching his arms far over his head and shaking them out by his sides to try and get movement into them. After another long day, his body was all sore again.

She smiled faintly and nodded, gaze drifting over the other flowers in the garden before a slight breeze started up, sending the delicate scents of the flowers to the. Blake was never angry or upset, no matter how hard others would try, she just never seemed to cry, frown, or really do much but smile with a calm and peaceful demeanor, and even now, she did not express much emotion.
Nodding in response to his query, she noted the stiffness and sighed faintly to herself, quiet enough that only a mouse would hear. "If you are tired, then please, go rest. I am well enough alone out here," she said softly.
