Just a month ago the FDA approved the testing of the new Vaccination and cure against AIDS. The testing on the animals had gone swimmingly, with no repercussions in the past five years. Now they have moved on to human testing right in the heart of the City at New York University Medical Center where the vaccine was first created.
This tape was recovered by the military from the testing labs in NYU Medical Center hours after the outbreak.
This is Doctor Burke, it is twelve thirty on September sixteenth two thousand and eleven. It is a beautiful day outside, and we are about to change the world forever. Is everyone ready?
There is a murmur of agreement in the background, and some shuffling feet before the tape recorder is retrieved once again.
Patient number zero zero zero one will be receiving two milliliters of the the Z3H2 vaccine via IV drip. Estimated time of completion, ten minutes.
The tape recorder is set down, and a few muffle voices are heard, as well as come vague laughter. Silence follows before there is much scuffling and a distant voice is heard yelling.
We need a crash cart in here STAT!
More rushed foot steps followed by a the squeaky sound of a crash cart being wheeled in. The vital sign monitor can be heard in the background with the resounding steady beep of a flat-line. Then moments later there is a small pip.
He's alive! Sir can you hear me?
Then there is a scream. Something growls before things are knocked over. The tape gets fuzzy here, and it almost dies out, before there is just silence. A drip that sounds like it could be a broken faucet is heard before the sound of something dragged.
